আসসালামু আলাইকুম, আজকে আমরা জানবো জীব বিজ্ঞান আমারা কেন পাঠ করবো। আমাদের বেচে থাকার জন্য এর গুরুত্ব কতটুকু।
জীববিজ্ঞান অথবা Biology শব্দটি মুলত গ্রীক শব্দ থেকে এসেছে এখানে bios যার অর্থ হলো Life অর্থাৎ জীবন অপরদিকে logos শব্দের অর্থ হলো knowledge যার অর্থ জ্ঞান ।উৎপত্তির দিক থেকে biology শব্দের প্রকৃত অর্থ হলো জীবনের বিজ্ঞান । সুতরাং যাদের জীবন আছে তাহারা জীব।
জীব বিজ্ঞানে প্রধানত জীবজগৎ বা জীব সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়। সুতরাং বলা যায়, যে বিজ্ঞান পাঠ করিলে আমরা জীবনের গঠন,প্রকৃতি,জীবনধারনের পদ্ধতি প্রভৃতি দিক সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত সম্যক জ্ঞান অর্জন করা সম্ভব তাকেই জীববিজ্ঞান বলে।
জীববিজ্ঞান পাঠের প্রয়োজনিয়তা :
মানুষকে সুস্থ সবল ভাবে বেচে থাকার জন্য জীব বিজ্ঞানের জ্ঞান অর্জন ছাড়া সম্ভব নয়। কেননা জীব বিজ্ঞান হলো জীব ও প্রানীর সুস্থ ভাবে বেচে থাকার মুল ভিত্তি। জীববিজ্ঞানের প্রাথমিক ভিত্তি হল জীবন । বিজ্ঞানের অন্য কোন বিষয় সম্পর্কে জানার আগে মানুষ নিজেকে রক্ষার তাগিদে প্রানী ও উদ্ভিদ বিষয় সম্পর্কে মানুষের জ্ঞান অর্জন করা অপরিহার্য। সুতরাং নিম্নে বিশেষ কয়েকটি ক্ষেত্রে জীববিজ্ঞান পাঠের প্রয়োজনিয়তা সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হলো।
তুলনামুলক ভাবে অন্যান্য জীবের ন্যায় মানুষ ও জীববিজ্ঞানের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আলোচ্য বিষয়। অতএব মানুষকে নিজের সম্পর্কে জানতে হলে জীববিজ্ঞান পাঠের বিকল্প নেই বললে চলে।
জীববিজ্ঞান পাঠ করলে জেনেটিক ও বংশধারার বৈশিষ্ট্য সম্পর্কে পরিপুর্ন জ্ঞানলাভ করা সম্ভব। আমারা ইতোমধ্যে জেনেছি মুলত এই জ্ঞানের সাহায্যেই উদ্ভিদ প্রজননবিদগণ উন্নত জা্তের খাদ্যশস্য উদ্ভাবন করতে সক্ষম হয়েছেন। নতুন প্রজাতির ফসলের উৎপাদন বৃদ্ধি এবং কৃষিতে বৈপ্লবিক পরিবর্তনের জন্য আমাদের জীববিজ্ঞান পাঠের প্রয়োজনীয়তা ব্যপক।
জীববিজ্ঞানের ফলিত শাখা কৃষিবিজ্ঞান ও প্রাণী প্রজননের মাধমে গো সম্পদ উন্নয়ন বৃদ্ধি ও উন্নত জাতের গবাদি পশু সৃষ্টি সম্ভব হয়েছে। বর্তমান ক্রমবর্ধমান জনসংখ্যার সাথে খাদ্য উৎপাদন ও পশু সম্পদের উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে জীববিজ্ঞানের পরিপুর্ন জ্ঞান থাকা আবশ্যক।
আমরা জানি উদ্ভিদ জগত হতে আমাদের নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় দ্রব্য সামগ্রী যেমন: বন হতে কাঠ কাগজ তৈরির উপাদান,কাপড় তৈরির উপাদান তুলা,বন হতে মধু ,মোম , ইত্যাদি প্রাণী জগত হতে পেয়ে থাকি। তাছাড়া বিভিন্ন প্রানীর চর্বি ও তৈল , রেশম প্রভৃতি আমাদের নানা কাজে লাগে। জীববিজ্ঞান পাঠে এই সকল বিষয়ে বিশদ জ্ঞান লাভ করতে পারি।
জীববিজ্ঞানের জ্ঞানের সাহায্যে চিকিৎসা বিদ্যায় ব্যবহৃত বিভিন্ন ওষুধপত্র উদ্ভিদ ও প্রাণী জগত হতে সংগৃহীত। এছাড়া বিভিন্ন রকমের কঠিন রোগের ঔষধ তৈরি করা হয়েছে। যেমন: ছত্রাক জাতীয় উদ্ভিদের দেহ হতে পেনিসিলিন তৈরি, স্টেপ্টোমাইসিন ,ক্লোরোমাইসিটিন ছাড়াও আরো অগনিত ঔষুধ আবিষ্কার সম্ভব হয়েছে।
জীববিজ্ঞানের জ্ঞানের আলোকে শারীরবিদ্যা পাঠের মাধ্যমে চিকিৎসা শাস্ত্রের উন্নয়ন সম্ভব হয়েছে। জীবজগত সম্পর্কে জানার জন্য মানুষকে কৌতুহলী করার প্রয়াসে জীববিজ্ঞানের উৎকর্ষ সাধনের মাধ্যমে প্রকৃতির ভারসাম্য বজায় রাখতে এবং ফসলের প্রাচুর্যে দেশকে পরিপুর্ন করে তোলার জন্য, নিত্য নতুন পরমাণু লাভের মানসিকতায় মানব জীবন সুস্থ ও সুখময় করার লক্ষে জীববিজ্ঞান পাঠ করা ও জ্ঞান লাভ করা অতিব জরুরী । মানব জীবনে জীব বিজ্ঞান পাঠের প্রয়োজনীতা অপরিসীম।

The word biology or biology originally comes from the Greek word here bios which means life, on the other hand the word logos means knowledge which means knowledge. From the origin, the real meaning of the word biology is the science of life. So those who have life are Jiva.
Biology mainly deals with the biosphere or organisms in detail. So it can be said that if we read the science, we can gain detailed knowledge about the structure, nature, way of life etc. of life is called biology.
Biology Lesson Requirements:
It is not possible for people to live healthy without acquiring knowledge of biology. Because biology is the main basis for healthy living of organisms and animals. The basic premise of biology is life. Before knowing about any other subject of science, it is essential for man to acquire knowledge about animal and plant matter in order to protect himself.
