জাপান শহরের এনশু নামক সমুদ্র সৈকতে ভেসে এসেছিল বিশালাকার একটি ধাতব গোলক। সেটি নিয়ে জাপানিজদের মধ্যে তৈরি হয়েছিল ভয়মিশ্রিত কৌতুহল ও রহস্য। অবশেষে জাপান শহরের সে রহস্য ও কৌতুহলের অবসান হয়েছে জানা গেছে গোলকের আসল রহস্য।
নিউ ইয়র্ক টাইমসের সংবাদ সূত্রে আনন্দবাজার জানায়, মঙ্গলবার যে বিস্ময়কর ধাতব গোলকটি হামামাৎসুর এনশু সমুদ্র সৈকতে ভেসে এসেছিল, সেটি আসলে একধরনের ‘মেরিন ইক্যুইপমেন্ট’। দেড় মিটার ব্যাসের এই গোলক বস্তুটি কোনো বিস্ফোরক নয়, বরং এটি মুলত একটি বয়া! যা জাহাজ চালকদের দিকনির্দেশের জন্য ব্যাবহার করা হয় তাই এটি পানিতে ভাসানো অবস্থায় থাকে। কোনোভাবে সেটি ভেসে এসেছে জাপানের এনশু সমুদ্র সৈকতে।
অথচ শুরুতে এটি নিয়ে গোটা জাপানজুড়ে বেশ আতঙ্ক ও ভয় তৈরি হয়েছিল। এটি কোনো গুপ্তচর বেলুনের ধ্বংসাবশেষ কিনা তা নিয়ে চলছিল অনুসন্ধান ও আলোচনা? গুপ্তচর বেলুনের তত্ত্বটা আরো জোরালো হতে শুরু করেছিল কলম্বিয়া, আলাস্কা এবং যুক্তরাষ্ট্র শহরের কয়েকটি জায়গায় ‘চীনা গুপ্তচর বেলুনের’ ঘটনা প্রকাশ্যে আসার পর।
গোলকটি সমুদ্রতটে ভেসে আসার পর তার চারদিকে ঘিরে ফেলে জাপান সরকার কর্মীরা। দিনরাত পাহারার ব্যবস্থা করে জাপান প্রশাসন। পরবর্তীতে বোমা বিশেষজ্ঞদের ডাকা হয় বস্তুটি পর্যবেক্ষণের জন্য। শুধু তাই নয়, কোনোরকম অপ্রীতিকর পরিস্থিতি এড়াতে ও দুর্ঘটনা দুর করতে আশপাশের এলাকা মুহূর্তের মধ্যে পুরোপুরি খালি করে দেয়া হয়। জাপানের হামামাৎসু শহরের এনশু সমুদ্র সৈকতে ওই গোলক ভেসে এসে জনমনে বেশ ভয়ের আবহ ও কৌতুহল তৈরি করেছিল। গোলকে বিস্ফোরক দ্রব্য আছে কিনা সেটা নিশ্চিত হতে সেটির নানান পরিক্ষা নীরিক্ষা ও এক্সরে করা হয়। পরিক্ষা করে জানা যায় যে, এই গোলকটি মুলত একটি বয়া!
কিছুদিন আগে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের আকাশে সাদা বেলুনের মতো রহস্যময় কিছু জিনিস উড়তে দেখা যায়। দেশটির বিমানবাহিনী সেনারা বেলুনের মতো সেই বস্তুটিকে গুলি করে মাটিতে নামায়। সে দেশের সরকার দাবি করে, এটি চীন সরকারের ‘গুপ্তচর’ বেলুন। পরবর্তীতে যদিও সেই অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করেছে চীন সরকার। সেই ঘটনার মধ্যেই জাপানের এনশু সমুদ্র সৈকতে ভেসে আসা গোলক জাপানবাসীদের মনে একটা ধাঁধার সৃষ্টি করেছিল। সেই ধাঁধার গোপন রহস্যের সমাধান হলো অবশেষে।
২০১৯ সাল থেকে অন্তত ৩বার জাপানের আকাশে সন্দেহজনক নজরদারি বেলুন দেখা গেছে বলে চীনের কাছে উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছে জাপান। গত সপ্তাহে ১মবার এই অভিযোগ করে তারা। তবে বেইজিং গুপ্তচরবৃত্তির অভিযোগটি অস্বীকার করেছে।
