সরকারপন্থী অন্তত বার থেকে পনেরো টি ইসলামি দলের জোট গঠনের প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়েছে। শনিবার (৪ মার্চ) রাজধানীর তোপখানা রোডের বাংলাদেশ শিশুকল্যাণ পরিষদ কেন্দ্রের কনফারেন্স হলে আয়োজিত এক সভায় এই জোট গঠনের প্রক্রিয়ার বিষয়ে আলোচনা করে সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহন করা হয়।
ইসলামী গণতান্ত্রিক পার্টির বর্তমান চেয়ারম্যান ও সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য এম এ আউয়ালের সভাপতিত্বে ‘স্বাধীনতা ও মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সপক্ষের ইসলামি দল ও সমমনা দলের বৃহত্তর ঐক্য এখন সময়ের দাবি মাত্র’ শীর্ষক মতবিনিময় সভায় এ বিষয় বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়।
এ সময় এম এ আউয়াল বলেন, ‘আগামী জাতীয় নির্বাচন সামনে রেখে দেশের জনগনকে যাতে ভালো রাখতে পারি, দেশের জনগনের সার্বিক উন্নয়ন ও কল্যাণে ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে কাজ করতে চাই। এই ঐক্য সৃষ্টি করা একান্ত প্রয়োজন ও আজ সময়ের দাবি। আমাদের আগের যে ইসলামিক ডেমোক্রেটিক এলায়েন্স ছিল, সেটাকেই আমরা পূর্ণ গঠন করতে যাচ্ছি মাত্র। অনেকেই বলেছেন এ জন্য একটা নোটিশ বা ঘোষণা দরকার। সকলে একসঙ্গে বসে আলোচনা করে আমরা দ্রুত একটি ঘোষণাপত্র তৈরি করবো। এর মাধ্যমে শুধু নির্বাচন নয়, সাধারণ জনগনের যেসব সমস্যা আছে, সেগুলোর বিরুদ্ধে সবাইকে সচেতন হতে হবে। রাজপথেও থাকতে হবে এবং প্রতিটি নির্বাচনে অংশ গ্রহন করতে হবে।’
বাংলাদেশ ইসলামী ঐক্যজোটের চেয়ারম্যান মিছবাহুর রহমান চৌধুরী বলেন, ‘আমরা বলেছিলাম আমাদের নিজের পায়ে পথ চলবো। কিন্তু দেশের জাতীয় প্রয়োজনে আওয়ামী লীগকে সমর্থন দিয়ে যাচ্ছি গত ২০০৫ সাল থেকে। বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা ক্ষমতায় আসার আগে থেকে। প্রথম মহাজোট নামটা আমার মুখ থেকেই প্রকাশ্যে এসেছিল। ভেবে দেখুন আওয়ামী লীগ যা করে আমরাও যদি তাই করতাম, তাহলে আমরা আওয়ামী লীগই হতাম। আমি দেশের মন্ত্রী হওয়ার জন্য চিন্তা করিনি।’
মিছবাহুর রহমান বলেন, ‘দেশের সকল উগ্রবাদী দলগুলোকে নিষিদ্ধ করতে হবে এখুনি। উগ্রবাদী শুধু ইসলামি দল নয়, উগ্রবাদী বাম, জামায়াতও আছে তাদের নিষিদ্ধ করতে হবে। এ জন্য সকলকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হতে হবে।’
উক্ত সভায় সূচনা বক্তব্য পেশ করেন গণতান্ত্রিক ইসলামিক সংগঠনের মহাসচিব সাবেক পিপি এডভোকেট মো. নূরুল ইসলাম খান।
