গুলিস্তানে ভয়াবহ বিস্ফোরণ, আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের ১১ ইউনিট

রাজধানীর গুলিস্তানের বহুতল ভবনে ভয়াবহ বিস্ফোরণের ফলে আগুনের সুত্রপাত ঘটে এই ঘটনায় আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে কাজ করছে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের এগারো ইউনিট। বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনায় এখন পর্যন্ত ৪জন মারা গেছে। বিস্ফোরনে আহত হয়েছে প্রায় অর্ধশতাধিক। তাদের ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করে চিকিৎসা দেওয়া হচ্ছে।
আজ মঙ্গলবার (৭ মার্চ) বিকেল পৌঁনে ৫টার দিকে নর্থ সাউথ রোডের সুরিটোলা স্কুলের কাছাকাছি ভবনটির দ্বিতীয় তলায় এই বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটে এতে আগুন লেগে যায় পুরো ভবনে। ফায়ার সার্ভিসের দায়িত্বরত কর্মকর্তা রাশেদ বিন খালেদ এই বিষয়টি এনটিভি অনলাইনকে তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তিনি বলেন, ‘আমাদের এগারোটি টিম সেখানে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রনে কাজ করছে। বহু আহতদের ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।'
এর আগে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের সদস্য শাহজাহান শিকদার জানিয়েছেন, 'আগুনের ঘটনায় বহু হতাহতের শঙ্কা আছে। তবে সংখ্যা ও বিস্ফোরণের কারণ এখনও নিশ্চিত নয় কারন এখনও সঠিক তথ্য জানা যায় নি।’ স্থানীয়দের বরাতে তিনি জানান, মুলত ভবনটির এসি থেকে এই বিস্ফোরণ থাকতে পারে।
নর্থ সাউথ রোডের সুরিটোলা স্কুলের কাছাকাছি ওই ভবনটির আশপাশ এখন ধোঁয়ায় ও ধ্বংসস্তূপে পরিপূর্ণ। ঘটনাস্থলে রয়েছেন আমাদের অনেক প্রতিনিধি। তিনি জানান, প্রাথমিকভাবে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে বাসার এসি থেকে এই বিস্ফোরণ ঘটে থাকতে পারে। বংশাল থানার পক্ষ থেকেও স্থানীয়দের বরাতে একই তথ্য নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে।
স্থানীয়রা জানান, বিকট আওয়াজের বিস্ফোরণের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ধোঁয়ায় ছেঁয়ে যায় পুরো এলাকা । বিস্ফোরণে ইট পলেস্তারা, কাঠের টুকরা বহু দূর ছিটকে পড়ে হতাহতের ঘটনা ঘটে। এতে অনেকে গুরুতর আহত হন। গুরুতর আহতদের কে হাসপাতালে নেয়া হচ্ছে।
বংশাল থানার সহকারী উপপরিদর্শক (এএসআই) জয়নাল আবেদিন এনটিভি অনলাইনকে বলেন, ‘আমরা গুলিস্তানের একটি বহুতলভবনে বিস্ফোরণের খবর পেয়েছি। সঙ্গে সঙ্গে আমাদের ফায়ারিং টিম ঘটনাস্থলে রওনা হয়েছে। স্থানীয়রা জানিয়েছে এসি থেকে এই বিস্ফোরণ ঘটে থাকতে পারে।ফায়ার সার্ভিসের টিম ঘটনাস্থলে গেলে নিশ্চিতভাবে বলা যাবে। তবে, হতাহতের সংখ্যা এখনও সঠিক জানা যায়নি।’
আগুন মোটামুটি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসলেও কেমিক্যালের দোকান হওয়ার কারনে এখনও শঙ্কা কাটেনি। জানা যায়নি মোট ক্ষয়ক্ষতির পরিমাণও।
এদিকে প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী ও স্থানীয় ব্যবসায়ীরা জানান, একটি দোকানেই আগুন লেগেছে। এতে ওই স্থানের আশপাশে থাকা অন্য দোকানগুলো আগুনে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়নি।

Officer in charge of fire service Rashed Bin Khaled confirmed this information to NTV Online. He said, "Our eleven teams are working to control the fire there. Many injured have been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Earlier, fire service member said, 'There is fear of many casualties in the fire incident. However, the number and the cause of the explosion are not yet certain because the correct information is not yet known. He said about the locals that the explosion may have come from the AC of the building.
Smoke and debris surround the building near Suritola School on North South Road. Many of our representatives are at the scene. He said, initially it is thought that this explosion may have occurred from the AC of the house. The same information has been confirmed about the locals by Banshal police station.
Locals said that with the explosion of loud noise, the whole area was filled with smoke. In the blast, bricks, plasters and pieces of wood were thrown far away, causing casualties. Many were seriously injured. The seriously injured are being taken to the hospital.
Banshal Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Zainal Abedin told NTV Online, "We have received reports of an explosion in a multi-storey building in Gulistan. Immediately our firing team left for the spot. Locals said that this explosion may have occurred from the AC. It can be said for sure when the fire service team goes to the spot. However, the exact number of casualties is not yet known.
Even though the fire is almost under control, the fear is still not over due to the fact that it is a chemical shop. The total number of damage is not clear.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses and local traders said that there was a fire in a shop. The other shops around the place were not damaged by the fire.
